The office Christmas party that wasn't

Darrel works at Newman University in Duda and like at most places, his office get to together this time of year to celebrate Christmas. Names are drawn, wish lists are past around, goodies are made or bought, families are invited to come and we have a good time together.

In our minds, this is what was suppose to have happened Monday afternoon. Darrel had drawn a name, bought a present, I bought some carmel popcorn at the store. (Come on people, we got our referral on Friday. I wasn't baking.) We went to the party. Darrel gave his gift to start the gift exchange and then everything changed...

You see we were the ONLY ones who thought this was an office Christmas party.

Everyone else was thinking about us. It was really an adoption party and that tree was full of gifts and prayers for us and our baby.

Many "lies" were told to pull off the surprise and surprised we were.

We are truly filled with joy and blessed by the Newman family.

Thank you all so very much.

Oh my goodness, that is so awesome! We had some friends do the same thing and surprise us with an auction to raise money for adoption...we thought we were going to dinner. It's such a blessing to have friends who care so much about our little one!
