Ted- Our Ethiopian Expert

Last night we had dinner with Ted. A dear friend, who introduces my husband to people as one of his "kids". There is no blood relation between Darrel and Ted but there is a spiritual one. Ted was my husband's pastor when he was a child. He also spent many years in Ethiopia teaching at a Bible college there.

Ted went over our referral information. He explained explosive consonants so that we can pronoun our son's name correctly. (or at least closer) We discussed what tribe Jude is most likely from, how family life works in Ethiopia, religion, politics and oh so much more. He tried to teach us Ethiopian greetings but that may take a few more lessons.

I love that Jude will grow up with a "grandpa Ted", who loves his home country. Who can answer questions for him. This is a blessing that I had not really counted but as we have continue down this path, I have become so very aware and am extremely grateful.

Ted is an amazing man of God. The Lord has used him in so many ways. We are so very honored to have him in our lives.

Thanks Ted.
