This morning we were able to visit a foster home in the area. It is a home for children with OI or brittle bones disease. These children are loved and cared for by two moms and two dads and several aunts. The children are educated in both academics and vocational skills. They have recently opened a bakery for the teenage children so that they will have a skill when they have to age out of the system. The love that is obvious there is amazing. These adults are giving these children a chance for life here and now as well as a hope for the future. I am very touched by what this family is able to accomplish both within their own walls as well as reaching out to others in their community by helping the very poor with coats and every day needs. This family is truly being hands and feet.
